With the government announcing the
tax cut for motorcycles between 200-400cc
, KTM Nepal has slashed the prices of the 250 Adventure and 250 Duke motorcycles by Rs 50,000 each. The 250 Adventure which was earlier priced at Rs 7,49,900 will now be available at Rs 6,99,900. The 250 Duke, on the other hand, is now priced at Rs 7,34,900 from the earlier Rs 7,84,900.
KTM 250 Duke:
Powering the KTM 250 Duke is a BS6-compliant 250cc motor that makes 30PS and 24Nm. The motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox, along with an assist and slipper clutch as standard. The 250 Duke also comes with Supermoto mode on the dual-channel ABS and a bigger 320mm disc at the front, just like the 390 Duke. The 250 Duke comes fitted with a LED headlight and DRLs as seen in the 390 Duke, an all-digital LCD unit, LED indicators, etc. The bike is available in two shades: Dark Galvano and Silver Metallic.
KTM 250 Adventure:
The 250 Adventure gets the same BS6-compliant 250cc, the single-cylinder engine found in the Duke 250. This engine is capable of producing a maximum power output of 29.6 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 24 Nm of peak torque output at 7,500 rpm.The bike comes with the same trellis frame with inverted non-adjustable front forks along with a rear mono-shock. To keep the price in check, unlike the Adventure 390s cornering ABS and the quickshifter+, the Adventure 250 will arrive only with offroad ABS. It also misses out on traction control. The suspension travel (170mm front/ 177mm rear) and ground clearance of 200mm are identical to the 390s as well. The KTM Adventure 250 comes with a proper TFT instrument console, instead of the LCD console on the Duke 250.The KTM 250 Adventure now comes in two new colors, namely, KTM Electronic Orange and KTM Factory Racing Blue. Apart from the new colors, everything else remains largely the same. The excise duty on motorcycles between 250cc-400cc has been reduced through the new budget. The excise duty on this segment was up to 90 percent earlier, but now it will be only 70 percent. Moreover, for motorcycles assembled in Nepal, the excise duty has been fixed at 30 percent. Similarly, the road construction fee has been reduced from Rs 50,000 to Rs 20,000.
